About Me

Hi fellow mamas, moms-to-be, loss mamas and all around cool women!

My name is Jeni Bazinet and I’m a mama to our Angel baby Beau and a feisty one-year old, Ava Belle. I’m an Ottawa, Canada based philanthropist with a love for fashion.

Full transparency, I thought I had this whole pregnancy thing figured out, but boy was I wrong! I thought I’d look like my typical chic self with a little baby bump and prove that pregnancy can be cute - instead I got bloating, morning sickness, a global pandemic and bed rest, so needless to say in my down time, I lived in leggings and my husbands over-sized sweaters.

I started out planning to get pregnant and felt that there were not a lot of great maternity options for a decent price. I began on a two year hunt for items that could accommodate my pending bump and well that worked out in some aspects and was a huge fail in others.

After 41 weeks of pregnancy, a rocky postpartum and three and a half precious months with Beau, we unfortunately lost our son to SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome). Less than one year later I was blessed to have Ava Belle. She helps to heal my heart everyday.

I originally intended this to be an outlet to express my creativity through writing and fashion but now it is so much more. I want to use this platform to support other parents through pregnancy and miscarriage, stillbirth and infant loss and life after loss. Just maybe, what helped me and my husband could help you too? I’m here to simply empower women through pregnancy and their motherhood journeys….what ever that might look like. I hope to provide chic yet simple, elegant yet inexpensive options for the moms of today.

This is for those who want to wear more than just mom jeans.
